Vanessa Gardner Nagel, APLD, is a gutsy garden designer, enthusiastic garden writer, passionate garden speaker , and frenetic gardener. Her books are The Professional Designer’s Guide to Garden Furnishings and Understanding Garden Design: The Complete Handbook for Aspiring Designers. Vanessa shares over 40 years of gardening and 35 years of design experience at garden shows and to garden clubs. She turned her global design experience as a commercial interior designer inside-out into landscape design in 2002, fulfilling a life-long dream. She owns Seasons Garden Design LLC, is a certified professional member of APLD (Association of Professional Landscape Designers) and is Communications/Outreach Director for the International Board of Directors for APLD. As a responsible gardener and designer, her large garden is organic and her designs sustainable.
